The NRSA Code of Standards

Signed by every member at joining. Membership may be revoked for documented violations. This Code is the sole thing the NRSA Member badge attests.

1
Written estimatesProvide a written, itemized estimate — scope, materials, and price — before any work begins.
2
Price integrityHonor the estimated price unless the scope changes, and document any change order in writing with the customer's approval before proceeding.
3
Licensing and insuranceHold every license legally required where the job is performed, and carry active general liability insurance — and workers' compensation where required — on every job.
4
No pressure tacticsNo manufactured urgency, no unsolicited door-to-door pressure after storms, and no demanding payment in full before work begins.
5
Written warrantyState workmanship warranty terms in writing: what is covered, and for how long.
6
Complaint responseAcknowledge customer complaints within five business days and work in good faith toward resolution.
7
Honest advertisingRepresent credentials, affiliations, reviews, and this Association's badge truthfully in all marketing.
8
AccountabilityCooperate with NRSA's complaint process and accept that membership may be revoked for documented violations of this Code.
Have a complaint about a member?

Email standards@nationalroofingstandards.org with the business name and what happened. We acknowledge every complaint, forward it to the member for a response, and act under the Code where warranted. NRSA does not adjudicate workmanship or payment disputes — the complaint process exists to enforce this Code.
